Last month I received a very focused and urgent email from Jerry Hobby of Texas Business Technologies on a Friday afternoon. He was on a mission to find a designer that could create an amazing logo and website for his client American Dream Cycles.
Jerry was very specific and ready to move on this:
“I need you to create a very high end website that would convey the strength and bruteness of a custom chopper company. Masculine, heavy, hard. We need edgy morphing style animations to illustrate the point that these are “custom” bikes. The color theme had to be red, white, & blue with black as the base color. The American flag must be represented in the design through colors or patterns. The logo should feel “American” and should be easily adaptable for embroidery, key chains, etc. in their merchandising…and of course, the website must be well optimized and SEO friendly”
Did I mention this logo needed to be finished by the following Monday because they needed business cards for a high profile meeting? Yes, you read that correctly… just three days to complete the logo and get it to the printer.
We sealed the deal on Saturday and I got the first round of comps to the ADC crew by Sunday morning. By Monday afternoon we had an approved logo ready for the printer.
Next was the website. We had a March 25th deadline for the website as that was the date of the grand opening of their flagship showroom in The Woodlands, Texas.

I must say, the logo really does kick ass.
